Yesterday (Sat 2nd March) was the first time the Windsor Rollergirls and Nottingham’s Hellfire Harlots have met on the track and it was  ‘Who Dares Windsor’ that took the early lead at the Nottingham Trent University Sports Centre.

Windsor jammers (CruciVix, Culverhouse and Sutures) fought hard against a substantial Harlots defence including Bunnie Suicide and Terroryaki Smak to open up the points differential.  The Windsor blockers holding strong in well-practiced lines against the agility of Harlot jammers, El Visious (Team England 2011) and Joannasaurus.  A fast and feisty game with tight teamwork, tactics and plenty of skating skills on show from both teams.

This was Windsor’s 3rd public bout of 2013 and with a final score, 128-205 to Windsor, their 3rd win!  Once again Windsor were beating all ranking predictions.

You can next see Windsor on Saturday 16th March when they take on (for the 3rd time) the Lincolnshire Bombers at Windsor Leisure Centre (tickets on sale now), the ‘A’ team will then be taking a short break from public bouting in preparation for Belgium.  However you can catch Windsor’s B team, the B-Headers in their first outing of 2013 on Saturday 23rd March when they take on the mighty Sheffield Steel Rollergirls ‘A’ team!

If you fancy being a part of the Windsor A, B or C team – the ‘Crown Duels’ (or just learning to skate) get along to the new starter intake at Charters Leisure Centre on March 9th at 11am and become part of our ‘Beginners to Winners’ programme.  4 of the skaters in yesterdays ‘Who Dares Windsor’ line up have been skating for less than 12 months, it could be you!
